Anne Walls - Manager and Leader

Anne has been working in child care since 1992. Initially as a registered childminder, including 2 years as a community childminder for Hertfordshire County Council, focusing on the care of children with a wide range of special needs. Following this, Anne became Deputy leader at a playgroup in Stevenage, before moving to Royston in 2004. Anne is presently undertaking a foundation degree in Early Years Childcare with the Open University.

Carrie Page - Manager and Leader

Carrie has a wide range of qualifications and experience and worked in the medical & scientific arena before specialising in behavioural therapy in 1999. During her time as a behavioural therapist, Carrie focused on children with autism and behavioural difficulties. Carrie is now planning to begin a degree in early years childcare. Carrie and Anne manage Papillon Playgroup as partners.

Alex Hay - Play Assistant

Alex was our student trainee in 2008 and has now come to work for us. Alex has recently completed her NVQ3 in early year's childcare. She has attended many training courses.

Katie Leighton - Supervisor and Play Assistant.

Katie joined us in Jan 2009. She has previous experience in working in playgroups and as a classroom assistant. Katie has attended many training courses and she also works as a Papillon Playgroup cresh worker for the children's centre.

Laura Bass - Play Assistant

Laura joined us in June 2010 and has recently finished her degree in psychology at university. She wants to have some experience in working with young children so she can continue her studies in child psychology. Outside playgroup Laura is a qualified Jazzercise instructor.

Begona Laughlin - Play Assistant

Begona joined us in November 2010. She has worked at Cambridge University Press, Hotel chocolate as well as having worked in another playgroup setting in Royston. She has three young girls and enjoys netball. She has attended many training courses on child care and will be looking into doing her NVQ.

Hannah Wiltshire - Play Assistant

Hannah joined us in June 2011 and is keen to learn and develop her skills and knowledge in childcare. She has experience working in a local day nursery and is studying towards a Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People's Work Force

Alex Heginbottom - Play Assistant and One to One Key Worker

Alex is very experienced in childcare having worked at NHCVS Breakaway and Respite Play scheme in Letchworth, planning and organising activities to support young people with challenging behaviour.

Kerry Smith - Play Assistant

Kerry joined us in September 2011. She has worked in retail pharmacy for 20 years. She has a young family and helps out at their school.

Debbie Clarke - Play Assistant

Debbie has 2 children, and helps out at their school. Debbie joined us in September 2011.

Sharon Harrison - Play Assistant

Sharon also joined us in September 2011. She has experience working at her children's school.

Marta Wiśniewska-Prokop - Play Assistant.

Marta is originally from Poland, and is a fully qualified teacher. She has worked as Nursery and Primary school teacher in Gdansk for over 14 years, and has an impressive array of qualifications in early years education. We are delighted that Marta has chosen to bring her wealth of skills and experience to Papillon Playgroup.

Louise Wright – Play Assistant.

Louise originally joined Papillon back in 2007. Louise’s daughter currently attends Tannery Drift School, where Louise also helps as a classroom assistant. We’re delighted Louise is back with us.
